That Awkward Moment
It is quite intriguing to observe how the press covers Trump’s presidency and his actions in various situations. We have rated media, whose political articles received the highest amount of likes on Facebook (the right column). As we can see, at the top are The Huffington Post, CNN and The Washington Post. Also, let’s have a look at the news about the awkward moment that Donald Trump recently had with Angela Merkel when he ignored her offer to shake hands. This, ideally, should have been covered equally as all the other political topics. However, the results show a different picture. The most popular articles covering this accident were published by other media – The Independent, The Guardian and The New York Magazine. We can’t say for sure that some media carefully chose what to cover and what not to, or possibly this is because some media just publish more news and others choose to concentrate on a specific event, but these numbers do make one wonder.
